Family Residence, Syon Park

Set within the historic surroundings of Syon Park, this project involved the full renovation of the Northumberland family’s private residence within the exquisite Grade I listed house designed by Robert Adam.

The brief was to create an elegant and luxurious residence that could be enjoyed by the owners during their stays, while also functioning as a refined space for entertaining and as accommodation connected to the estate’s weddings and events.

The 4000 square foot, six-bedroom, six-bathroom apartment was carefully restored and reimagined to include a series of beautifully proportioned rooms, including a drawing room, dining room and billiards room. The interiors were designed to reflect a sense of timeless luxury, with custom-designed fabrics and passementerie used throughout.

Much of the family’s privately owned furniture was restored and reupholstered, adding character and history to the spaces. Part of the family’s private art collection was also restored, framed and curated throughout the apartment by Louisa’s father, private art consultant Christopher Penn, creating a layered and deeply personal interior within this remarkable historic setting.
